Note
  • Group price :Only for tour bus groups of more than 20 people; reservation is required.
  • Full price : students of elementary schools or above and adults under 65 years old.
  • Concessionary price : elderly above 65 years old, those with disability card, pregnant women, children under 6 years old and taller than 100 cm.
  • Children under 3 years old or shorter than 100 cm need to provide proof and be accompanied by a parent for free admission. (According to the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications: The ratio of guardians to children under 3 years old shall be 1:3; for children with special needs, the ratio of the legal representatives or volunteers to the children shall be 1:1.)

  • Adult price :Adults in general.
  • Student price :Students of junior high schools or above; proof is required.
  • Children price :Students of elementary schools or those younger than 12 years old (those who are unable to produce proof shall be taller than 120 cm and shorter than 150 cm)
  • Concessionary price :The elderly above 65 years old; pregnant women; those with disability card plus one companion; children older than 3 years old and younger than 6 (those who are unable to produce proof shall be taller than 100 cm and shorter than 120 cm).
  • Group price :Group of 20 or more travelling by tour bus (please reserve by phone one day in advance).
    Group price is applicable based on the above criteria.

  • The ticket covers all recreational facilities but does not include food and beverage and certain separately chargeable items.
  • Credit card payment service is not available in the Park; only cash and Taiwan Traveler Cards are accepted for ticket purchase.
Ticketing Information
  1. Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village ticket is a day pass that covers all facilities, and comes with complimentary Sun Moon Lake Ropeway ticket for the same day, i.e. purchase of ropeway ticket is not required with purchase of the Cultural Village ticket. As Sun Moon Lake Ropeway is a complimentary item, Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village reserves the right to terminate the issuance of the ropeway ticket. If the ropeway is temporarily suspended due to certain reasons, no compensation or refund is provided.
  2. Afternoon thundershower is common in mountainous areas. For safety considerations, some facilities may be temporarily suspended. Visit the Park at your discretion as once the ticket is used for entrance (boarding), no refund will be made. We appreciate your understanding.
  3. Tickets cannot be sold in advance, and are only valid on the day of purchase. Purchase of tickets can only be made in cash or the Taiwan Traveler Card. Please count the change on the spot as we will not bear any responsibilities after you have left the counter.
  4. Passenger discretion is advised for those with acrophobia; entering from the Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village side may be recommended.
  5. For those with disabilities: please contact the service counter for special assistance if you require assistance in purchasing the ticket.
Riding Rules and Precautions
  1. (Green) Crystal cabins have a transparent glass floor, which provides a more exciting visual experience. Please choose the queue at your own discretion.
  2. A normal cabin can accommodate 8 persons, while a crystal cabin can accommodate 6 persons.
  3. Those who are drunk or on drugs, or suffer from heart disease, high blood pressure or acrophobia are not allowed to ride the ropeway.
  4. During the ropeway journey, pushing, standing up, opening or leaning on the cabin door, sticking one's head or hands out of the cabin, throwing things out of the cabin or damaging the facilities are strictly prohibited.
  5. When the ropeway cabin reaches the station, every passenger must alight from the cabin; continuous riding is not allowed.
  6. Seasonal thunderstorms are common in the Sun Moon Lake region. For the safety of the passengers, the facilities may be temporarily suspended when there are lightning concerns.
  7. Bicycles, pets not in a pet carrier, or other huge and sharp hazardous items are prohibited on board (except for guide dogs).
  8. Smoking, eating, drinking, chewing gum and betel nuts are prohibited in the cabin.
  9. Children under 5 years old and children with hyperactivity tendencies must be accompanied by parents.
  10. Please give way to those with disabilities.
  11. For details of riding rules, please refer to the "Sun Moon Lake Ropeway Transportation Regulations".
  12. During heavy tourist traffic times, number tabs will be issued to control the queuing number. Please proceed to the queuing area when your number is called.
  13. During heavy tourist traffic times, you will need to share your ride with other groups of visitors.
  14. The closing time of Sun Moon Lake Ropeway is earlier than that of Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village. Please take note to avoid missing the last ride.
